Message from the Head of the Master Program of Industrial Technology

Professor, CHUBACHI Yoshihide, Ph.D.

The Master Program of Industrial Technology consists of three degree programs that provide practical education centered on Project-Based Learning (PBL) education in order to train highly specialized professionals who will work in Japan’s industrial world. Upon completion of this program, students can obtain a Master of Technology in Business Systems Design Engineering in the Business Systems Design Engineering Course, a Master of Technology in Information Systems in the Information Systems Architecture Course, or a Master of Technology in Innovation for Design and Engineering in the Innovation for Design and Engineering Course. These degrees are proof that graduates have completed their professional studies as highly specialized human resources, and the diplomas received at the graduation ceremony will be recognized worldwide.

The curriculum in this school starts with acquiring knowledge and skills through lectures and classes taken in the first year. In the second year, students will acquire business execution skills through PBL activities in the first and second semesters. We emphasize “competency” as the ability to execute with work. Competency refers to the “abilities or behavioral trait that allow individuals to produce outstanding results.” Education alone, which teaches conventional knowledge and skills, cannot nurture human resources who produce excellent results. Through PBL, in which students set goals in line with practice and work to solve advanced issues in teams, we aim to change individual behavior and, in turn, have students acquire advanced business execution skills.

This program has a mechanism for working adults from diverse backgrounds to study again as graduate students. While the importance of lifelong learning has been pointed out, we have prepared various forms of entrance examinations so that many people can enter the gates of learning at our university. Please first attend the orientation if you are interested in this program. All faculty members look forward to meeting you on campus.
